I am guilty…

Of overwork.

I have been so focused on scaling my business to the next level that I forgot to take care of myself.

Split nails with three-month-old polish; brown hair, black tip, sprinkled with white; bulging tummy from eating and sitting all the time.

I am not the image of success, for sure. And this is not the image I would want to have when I meet people. I don’t think I would be able to empower anybody to follow their dream if I look like a hag following mine.

Yes, I am not my best version… outside.

But inside, I am excited.

Inside, I am seeing the rising sun.

I am getting traction for what I do. I am finally able to reach the people I love to work with and they are responding in kind.

Success means sacrifices.

Success means you have to go through transitions until you are able to get things together and finally say, I am here.

Success is the words you hear whispering into your ears saying, you got it… now scale it.

It is a pretty experience. Until I look at the mirror and realized, I have to pretty up myself as well.

But I did have a busy start of the year. I started the year with the full intention to succeed. And I am tasting the fruit of my labor. One month of gruesome learning and discovery led me to two weeks of client strategy calls for new projects; 5 discovery calls, 3 new clients and an upcoming week with calendar full.

I am tired and unpretty, but I can’t complain 😀 I am satisfied.

And there is still more to do, the week hasn’t ended yet. But I have scheduled my weekend to pamper myself 😀

Because success also means you love yourself, inside out.

How about you, what did you sacrifice to get you to where you are now?
